AI Hokusai: Legacy Encoded

Multiplatform Exhibition Uniting Past and Future

Virtual Space

_22.jpg

Originally developed in Unreal Engine by the talented team at NADK — Vincent Barué, Julien BARBIER, and Valentin BOESCH — using one of their visionary 3D environments (a stunning architectural concept by Bechu & Associés, originally created for Expo 2025), our team has had the privilege of adapting the experience for web, mobile, and VR.

This project has been a true collaboration across art, curation, and technology — made possible by the curators and initiators of the AI Hokusai Art&Tech Research Project, Anna Shvets and Vladimir Opredelelov, whose concept and direction have shaped the entire experience.

From a high-end real-time Unreal build to a widely accessible immersive format, we’ve worked to ensure that the exhibition can be experienced across devices, without compromising its impact or integrity.

The talented team at NADK.io transformed architectural designs by Bechu & Associates into an impressive virtual world inspired by Hokusai. It reflects our vision of a meditative, interconnected world — inspired by Hokusai’s sense of movement and harmony, reimagined through advanced AI tools. Every space is a portal, a poem, a place to pause.

Total virtual space — 25 km²
Indoor areas — 6,150 m²
Outdoor areas — 22,000 m²
