A couple of weeks ago, we launched our Art + AI residency — an amazing experimental online lab where artists explore Hokusai's legacy and cutting-edge AI tools.
If you missed the launch, welcome to see the record.
Please, meet our residents and learn more about each one here.
During the first week, the artists immersed themselves in the material, studied Hokusai's legacy more profoundly, and considered what technological pipeline for implementing the new art challenge would interest them. In the second week, the residents had already developed project concept options. We have already begun to work them out in more detail from a curatorial and technological point of view. Work has also started on the space of the future exhibition, where the curators and architects of the project are looking for options for integrating the residents' art projects into the exhibition space.
We held two open discussions online, during which we discussed the most important topics of ethics in AI art, sales, and collecting art created using artificial intelligence. If you missed these webinars, you can find their recordings on our YouTube channel.
We have started publishing a series of interviews with our residents. Today, you can learn more about Sares and Saint-Denis's creative process at www.tatchers.art.
Stay tuned. Next week will be even more interesting!
